How to Make and Form Pizza Dough

Among the foods most people have given up to the professionals, pizza seems to lead the race. Modern cooks are a little leery when it comes to any type of bread making and that’s what pizza dough is, flat bread. However, a quick pizza dough is easy to make and once you make it, you and your family can enjoy pizza at home anytime.


• 2 cups all propose flour
• Flour for surface to knead dough on
• ¾ cup hot water
• 1 package of active dry yeast
• 1 teaspoon sugar
• ¾ teaspoon salt
• 3 tablespoons vegetable oil


1.Combine water, yeast, sugar and oil in a container and allow to set for five minutes for yeast to bloom.
2.In another bowl, mix 2 cups flour and salt
3.When yeast has bloomed, pour yeast/water/sugar/oil mixture into the flour/salt mixture. Combine well with a fork.
4.Flour a flat surface and turn dough out onto it and knead dough until smooth.
5.Place dough in a oiled bowl, top with plastic wrap and allow to rise for one hour.
6.After the dough has risen, it should be about doubled in size, turn out onto a floured surface and knead again, before shaping and placing in an oiled pizza pan.
7.Top with pizza sauce, cheese and toppings of your choice.
8.Bake in a preheated 400 degree oven for 15 to 20 or until pizza is nicely browned.
9.Cut, serve and enjoy.
